इस बार की दीपावली मेरे लिए बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है। जिस क्षण पूरी दुनिया ने मानव जाति की भलाई के लिए एक दीपक जलाया, मेरे मन में एक दीपक जला। यानी मैथिली ठाकुर नाम की एक आर्ट गैलरी बनाई जाए। कारण यह है कि मेरा दिल उसकी वजह से सुंदरता से भरा है। वह सुंदरता मेरे माध्यम से दूसरों तक फैलती है। मुझे कल्पना करना मुश्किल है कि यह क्या है।

Something happens to my mind because of her songs. It's a beautiful thing. That beauty spreads through me to others. It’s an amazing thing that’s hard for me to even imagine. With that beauty I always paint her image.

Many people look at those paintings in silence and calm. I see how their faces are filled with beauty in that moment. It's a great surprise.

When someone asks me who she is, I say she is the goddess in my paintings. Many people respect it. Those events amaze me again and again.

I think an art gallery should be built in her name for that exhibition of paintings. These days I am making plans for that.
